Jack | humanworks press

Jack MacNeill

Jack is the founder and president of humanworks and co-founder of humanworks press. In addition to being a business owner, Jack is a registered clinical counsellor and organizational counsellor with over 30 years experience. Jack supports all people he works with to make positive changes in their professional and personal lives. 

Jack has extensive experience working in public and private sector environments, and with senior management members in a number of organizations throughout Canada. He has worked in the education sector for over 25 years, specifically with teachers and school administrators. He personally provides the following services for humanworks clients: vocational rehabilitation case management, organizational coaching, individual counselling, mediation and group facilitation.  He is passionate about his work with individuals and organizations.

With his business partner Wade Repta, Jack oversees and directs all humanworks and humanworks press initiatives. Jack is the manager of the BCPVPA Early Intervention Program (EIP) and the School District Engagement Initiative (SDEI). He also manages all aspects of humanworks' corporate operations for both companies.

Jack holds a Masters of Education (Counselling Psychology) degree from the University of Victoria and has worked in the field of health services since the early 1980’s. He comes from many generations of health care and education sector professionals: teachers, administrators, superintendents, psychologists, psychiatrists and social workers. Thus, Jack’s lifework has been to help others, and he has a way of being that connects him with the people he supports with great efficacy.

In his personal life, Jack enjoys spending time in the outdoors on the North Shore of Vancouver; hiking, riding, skiing and fishing. He, with his wife Monika, have raised their twins, now 24 years of age. Jack coached soccer for over 20 years and is involved in a number of ongoing, local community volunteer initiatives. Jack has a passion for cooking and entertaining, bringing food from the ocean, fields and garden to the plate. Simple living at its finest! 

Wade | humanworks press

Wade Repta

Wade is the author of The Well Teacher, Co-Founder of humanworks press, and Vice President of humanworks. He is an Occupational Therapist and Certified Disability Management Professional; his alma mater is McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario, from which he graduated in 1995 with his BHSc, OT. Wade directs all humanworks press and The Well Teacher initiatives, while also leading the development of specialized The Well Teacher products and services. Wade also provides clinical support to all humanworks staff, as well vocational rehabilitation case management and disability management, group facilitation, ergonomic assessment and job demands analysis, wellness planning, and home/lifestyle assessment for all humanworks clients. 

When not working, Wade enjoys spending time outdoors, running on the local trails, climbing, and riding. He is active in the local running community, enjoying Vancouver's North Shore mountains whenever possible. Wade also travels whenever the chance presents – in the past combining travel with work opportunities as an OT, and travel with running events throughout the world.

Andree | humanworks press

Andrée Repta

Andrée is a Rehabilitation Consultant at humanworks and is a contributing Writer to The Well Teacher. At humanworks press, she leads the end to end delivery of The Well Teacher products, including editing, design & layout direction, publishing & production as well as brand development, website & social media, marketing & communications, and order processing & fulfillment. Andrée earned a Master of Arts (2010) and a Rehabilitation and Disability Management Diploma (2022), both from Simon Fraser University. Andrée is a Certified Vocational Rehabilitation Professional (CVRP) and is fluent in French and English.

On a personal level, Andrée has a deeply creative and adventurous spirit.  She dabbles in ceramic art and loves to swim, cycle, and explore the outdoors with her family.

Meetu | humanworks press

Meetu Dhaliwal

Meetu is the Operations Manager at humanworks and humanworks press.  She maintains and oversees the operations of both companies at the humanworks head office and works closely with the President, Jack MacNeill. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Health Sciences at Simon Fraser University and has extensive experience in a wide range of disciplines (accounting, psychology, health sciences) enabling her to see things from a variety of angles, quickly cleaving to the essence of the problem, offering creative and practical solutions. She works with the entire humanworks team, and provides operations and accounting support that is imperative to the functions of the company.

In addition to work, she practices yoga to cultivate balance and harmony, enjoys sketching/painting, and takes every opportunity she can to travel and experience other cultures.
